Margin shortfall occurs when your margin available with the broker is below the margin required as per the Broker’s Risk Management Policy.
You can view your margin shortfall on the funds page. If the available margin is in negative, then your account is in shortfall.
To clear your shortfall, you can either transfer funds, square off your existing positions or pledge eligible stocks in the favor of Kotak Securities. Please top up the margins as soon as possible to avoid any penalty or liquidation from our end.
